LM-SOCIAL AND CULTURAL
In 2014 pirated movies was at its peak so Warner Bros has a lot of competition for people to buy their legitimate DVD however regardless of the pirating they still made DVDs and they made back their whole spending in the first week of the movies premieres in the cinemas alone.
How did the film’s distribution and circulation reflect the target audience? (remember the target audience for the film is NOT just children)
Warner Bros teamed up with Facebook to create posters and advertisement which attracted an older audience who would of loved Lego when they were younger so would want to take their children to see the film as well as Warner Bros being known to take amazing children films so that appealed to the children. The movie went to cinemas and DVD which families could watch all together as many of the parents/grandparents would of been familiar with Lego since they were a child.

Some really nice ideas here!
ReplyDeleteAlso with the first question think about how the film was available in 3D and how this reflects the 2014 film industry?
Technology is advanced enough
DeleteYes, but the fact that is is available in 3D REFLECTS the industry and changes to it.
